Welcome to Overdue Finds, an Edmonton Public Library podcast. Bryce Crittenden and Caroline Land will be hosting conversations about movies, music, books, pretty much any sort of popular culture and media you can think of and likely some you’ve never thought of. We’re hoping you’ll learn more about what you can find at the library.

In this special episode of Overdue Finds we have an exclusive interview with retired FBI Criminal Profiler and "Mindhunter" author John Douglas. Before he comes to Edmonton as part of EPL's Forward Thinking Speaker Series, Douglas chats with our hosts about his legendary career, the differences between his book and the popular Netflix series (WARNING: there are season 2 spoilers) and interviewing some of histories most notorious criminals including Charles Manson. You'll also hear about the case that nearly killed him and what it was like working under J. Edgar Hoover.

Plus, make sure to listen to the end of the episode to find out how you can win a pair of tickets to his sold out event. This is an episode that you won't want to miss!

Don't forget to check out the list of all the true crime titles that we talk about during this episode.

Thank you to Mtek Digital for letting us use their studio to record this episode.

Our next episode will be available on Friday, October 11th. We'll be chatting with Dr. Amber Reichert and librarian Tamsin Shute about our Welcome Baby program and the importance of early literacy.
